The fortress – palace royal enclosure of Fasil Ghebbi is located right in the city of Gonder , which was the first capital of Ethiopia between 1636 and 1855 . Fasil Ghebbi was founded by emperor Fasiladas and was buildt through several stages in the 17th and 18th century . It is a unique architectural blend of aksumite traditions and influences from India , Portugal and Arabia .
